The Need for Speed

Team Sauber, a leading Swiss-based racing team and manufacturer of Formula One racing cars, leverages powerful technology to design its cars and has established the strongest position possible for the Grand Prix racing season. Taking place on circuits across five continents, the 17 yearly Grand Prix races are among the most competitive events in the world and require highly complex, well-engineered cars. The Red Bull-Sauber-Ford C15 was designed for the 1996 season-right down to its nuts and bolts using-Silicon Graphics workstations and CATIA software. Team Sauber used visualization to speed up its design work, stay within technical regulations, and make significant performance improvements-an exercise that would result in another podium finish at the Monaco Grand Prix in Monte Carlo.
